::::::::: WILDPATH ::::::::::
Ever had a program that converts/modifies files that won't
accept a wildcard (*) or a path for it's files?
This program will allow you to do so. It's most handy for when, say,
you have 10 .XXX files that you want to convert to .YYY . Instead of
saying "CONVERTER file.XXX" 10 times, or the files are in a different
directory than the program, just use 'WILDPATH'.
to use WILDPATH:
1. Type "WILDPATH" at the dos command line.
2. It will prompt you for the PROGRAM you want to execute. Be sure
to include its extension.
3. You will then be prompted for the PROGRAM's path. Use the enter
key to use the default directory (printed in []), or enter
your path, i.e. D:\TEMP.
4. You will then be prompted for the FILE's name. You may use wildcards
as you use them at the dos command line.
5. You will then be prompted for the FILE's path. The default directory
may be used (printed in []) by pressing the enter key, or enter
your own path, i.e. B:\ .
WILDPATH will then execute the program, with all files matching the
entered name, until it can find no more matching files.
WILDPATH has been tested on IBM 286 and 386 clones with no problems, other
clones should work as well.
IF you use this program, and find it useful, I would please ask that you send
the author a small monetary fee, suggested to be $10.00 (u.s.), or send
whatever you feel is appropriate for the program. If you have any
suggestions or comments, please write.
